Our Services

At Healix Physical Therapy & Wellness, we provide individualized, evidence-based care designed to help patients reduce pain, restore movement, improve performance, and return to the activities they enjoy most. Our therapists use a combination of hands-on treatment, targeted exercise, education, and specialized techniques to create treatment plans tailored to each patient’s goals and condition.

Orthopedic Rehabilitation

Orthopedic physical therapy focuses on the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions affecting the muscles, joints, tendons, ligaments, and bones. Common conditions treated include back and neck pain, arthritis, tendonitis, sprains, post-surgical recovery, and joint injuries. Treatment may include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, stretching, mobility training, and strength development to restore function and reduce pain.

Vestibular Therapy for Vertigo & BPPV

Vestibular rehabilitation therapy treats dizziness, vertigo, balance disorders, and conditions such as Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). Specialized techniques and repositioning maneuvers are used to address inner ear dysfunction and reduce symptoms of spinning, imbalance, nausea, and motion sensitivity. Treatment also includes balance retraining and visual stabilization exercises.

Therapeutic Exercise

Therapeutic exercise is a cornerstone of physical therapy treatment. Programs are customized to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination, balance, and mobility based on each patient’s condition and goals. Exercises are progressed safely over time to help patients return to daily activities, work, recreation, and sports.

Sports-Specific Conditioning

Sports rehabilitation and conditioning programs are designed to help athletes safely return to sport and optimize performance. Treatment focuses on strength, agility, endurance, mobility, coordination, and sport-specific movement patterns. Programs are tailored to the demands of each athlete’s sport and level of competition while addressing injury prevention and recovery.

LSVT BIG Therapy

LSVT BIG is an evidence-based treatment program designed for individuals with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions affecting movement. The program focuses on improving movement amplitude through repetitive, high-effort exercises and functional training. Patients often experience improvements in walking, balance, posture, mobility, and overall confidence with daily activities.

Post-Surgical Rehabilitation

Post-operative physical therapy helps patients safely recover following orthopedic surgeries such as joint replacements, rotator cuff repairs, ligament reconstruction, spinal surgery, and fracture repair. Treatment is designed to reduce pain and swelling, restore mobility, rebuild strength, and gradually return patients to normal activity levels.

Geriatric Strengthening & Balance Program

Our geriatric strengthening and balance program is specifically designed to help older adults maintain mobility, independence, and overall quality of life. Treatment focuses on improving strength, flexibility, balance, posture, coordination, and endurance while reducing the risk of falls and injury. Programs are individualized to each patient’s abilities and goals and may include gait training, functional exercises, fall prevention strategies, and activities designed to improve confidence and safety during everyday movement.

Shiatsu

Shiatsu at Healix is a hands-on, therapeutic bodywork technique that uses gentle pressure to support relaxation, improve circulation, and restore balance throughout the body. Rooted in traditional Japanese medicine, it works along energy pathways to help release tension and enhance the body’s natural healing response. Each session is tailored to the individual, offering a calming, restorative experience that complements physical therapy and overall wellness care.

Balance Training & Fall Prevention

Balance training is designed to improve stability, coordination, and confidence during standing and walking activities. This treatment is especially beneficial for older adults, individuals recovering from neurological conditions, and those with a history of falls or dizziness. Therapy focuses on strengthening, gait training, reaction time, and functional movement to reduce fall risk and improve independence.

Manual Therapy

Manual therapy involves skilled hands-on techniques used to improve joint mobility, reduce muscle tension, decrease pain, and improve overall movement quality. Techniques may include soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, myofascial release, stretching, and trigger point therapy. Manual therapy is often combined with exercise for optimal recovery and long-term results.

McKenzie Method (MDT)

The McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) is a specialized assessment and treatment approach commonly used for neck, back, and extremity pain. This method emphasizes identifying movement patterns and positions that may reduce or centralize symptoms. Patients are educated on posture, body mechanics, and self-management strategies to help reduce pain and prevent recurrence.

Pelvic Floor Therapy

Pelvic floor physical therapy addresses conditions involving the muscles and structures of the pelvic region. This specialized treatment may help with urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, constipation, and core dysfunction. Therapy may include education, breathing techniques, strengthening, relaxation training, posture correction, and manual therapy when appropriate.

Neurological Rehabilitation

Neurological physical therapy helps individuals affected by conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, neuropathy, and other neurological disorders. Treatment focuses on improving mobility, strength, coordination, balance, gait, and functional independence through individualized exercise and movement retraining.

Chronic Pain Management

Physical therapy can play an important role in managing chronic pain conditions through movement-based treatment, education, strengthening, mobility training, and nervous system desensitization techniques. Treatment focuses on improving function, increasing activity tolerance, and helping patients regain confidence in movement and daily activities.

Yoga

Our individual and group yoga classes are designed to support healing, mobility, and overall well-being through mindful movement and breathwork. Each session blends gentle strength, flexibility, and balance work to complement physical therapy goals and promote long-term wellness. Whether used for recovery, stress relief, or performance enhancement, yoga at Healix helps patients reconnect with their bodies in a safe, guided, and purposeful way.

Functional Training

Functional training focuses on improving movement patterns used during everyday activities such as walking, bending, lifting, reaching, climbing stairs, and getting in and out of chairs or vehicles. Therapy is tailored to each patient’s lifestyle and goals to improve independence and overall quality of life.
